This is a chance for families, friends, neighbours, schools and youth groups to pay tribute to the area’s deserving children by nominating them for a very special Christmas present.

For some TWENTY young citizens, each accompanied by a partner, will be our VIP guests of honour at the pantomine Jack and the Beanstalk at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham, on Sunday, December 18, – when there will be festive treats galore.

On a memorable day out, our winners will receive the red carpet treatment. They will enjoy pre-show refreshments and entertainment plus meet the panto stars. This search for our outstanding young people, is in association with Fylde Borough Council and Pendle Productions, aims to put a smile on the face of the whole community during the season of goodwill.

We want to recognise the achievements of some inspiring youngsters. It could be a child who has demonstrated exceptional courage and maturity beyond their years dealing with a serious illness or family upheaval. It could be a talented youngster who has excelled on sports field or the stage or someone who has simply shown a heart of gold as a good neighbour or helped a charitable group.

Nominations are open to all children under the age of 18, who live within the borough. If you know someone who deserves recognition, All you have to do is write in with the reason why, with your contact details as well as those of the nominee.

Fylde Youth Salute needs you!

The Express, together with Fylde Borough Council and Pendle Productions, wants to give some very deserving children a day to remember....and would like some extra help from our caring community.

We are particular looking for any treats or sweets for a Lowther buffet before the VIP panto performance and any contributions for around 20-30 goodie bags for the children to take home. Selection boxes or toys would be great to make their Christmas extra special!
